What is a fuel pump?
The modern car has the electric fuel pump inside the fuel tank. The fuel pump pushes the fuel to the engine by creating positive pressure in the fuel lines. The fuel pump maintains a constant flow of fuel to the engine while any unused fuel is returned to the tank.
How do I know if my fuel pump is faulty?
Generally when a fuel pump stops operating the vehicle will no longer move. Other symptoms of a faulty fuel pump may be if fuel consumption becomes a problem, or when the vehicle jerks and then resumes regular performance intermittently when driving on the open road.
How can Cyberspace Auto Parts help you?
Cyberspace Auto Parts stocks a variety of fuel pump types ranging from the fuel pump on its own, to sending unit assemblies. Sending unit assemblies (or complete fuel pump assemblies) are a combination of components forming the complete fuel pump system including the electric fuel pump, the filter, the strainer and the electronic device used to measure the amount of fuel in the tank (via a float attached to a sensor which sends data to the dash-mounted fuel gauge). Your mechanic might have a preference to install the entire unit assembly rather than just the fuel pump on its own. In some cases we have the option of either type depending on your vehicle. We deal exclusively with leading brands such as Bosch, Delphi, VDO, Denso, Walbro and Pierburg. All of our fuel pumps are of the highest quality and come with a 12 month warranty.
